The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Albäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yulian Kichukov in the 4th minute of the match. Markus Albäck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 11th minute, Sindre Walle made a precise shot to the right of Markus Albäck. Nye's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 17th minute Sindre Walle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Albäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Nye's Markus Albäck got control of the ball when Andreas Schjelderup tried to sneak it across the goal line. Markus Albäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sindre Walle in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, FC Nordsjælland's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Hedvall came free, but Andreas Hansen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nye's Markus Albäck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Nye from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, FC Nordsjælland's Markus Albäck threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sindre Walle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 36 minutes into the game, Sindre Walle recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Markus Albäck. Sindre Walle showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. In the 43rd match minute, Nye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Josefsson to maneuver through the defense. Nye's Markus Albäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yulian Kichukov in the 46th minute of play. FC Nordsjælland's Andreas Schjelderup got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andreas Schjelderup was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sindre Walle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Markus Albäck. Nye's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sindre Walle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 55th minute Andreas Schjelderup shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Albäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Yulian Kichukov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Markus Albäck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Markus Albäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yulian Kichukov in the 60th minute of play. Kim Björklund kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. FC Nordsjælland's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
