The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dan Ødegaard charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Ødegaard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dan Ødegaard hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Charlie Bjurström might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christer Waaler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charlie Bjurström ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Christer Waaler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. DFP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kennet Martinsson in the 15th minute. Jan-Kenneth Woll tried in the 15th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Christer Waaler a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. Jon-Egil Gjelsvik charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jon-Egil Gjelsvik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jon-Egil Gjelsvik kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, DFP's Christer Waaler threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Charlie Bjurström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, DFP's Charlie Bjurström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christer Waaler. Christer Waaler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. DFP's Charlie Bjurström suffered a sore foot after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Buvarp during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. DFP's Timmy Vestberg was substituted for Charlie Bjurström. Timmy Vestberg struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Christer Waaler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DFP. Stefano Lilipaly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Christer Waaler made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Stefano Lilipaly had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christer Waaler. Åsnes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefano Lilipaly was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard got a free kick in the 40th minute. Stefano Lilipaly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Timmy Vestberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Christer Waaler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Timmy Vestberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DFP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Timmy Vestberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Christer Waaler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefano Lilipaly in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Hesjedal to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Leidland hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Timmy Vestberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 80 minutes of play, DFP's Viktor Alebom made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christer Waaler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Vestberg in the 83rd minute of the match. DFP's Alex Nordin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jan-Kenneth Woll, made in the 84th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Timmy Vestberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Timmy Vestberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kenneth Leidland kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Stefano Lilipaly struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Christer Waaler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DFP. Christer Waaler came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by DFP's Stefano Lilipaly. But to his dismay, Stefano Lilipaly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. There was no doubt that DFP were the better team. DFP's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
