With a little luck, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Rogério Ceni got control of the ball when Claudio Caniggia tried to sneak it across the goal line. George Wiklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Félix in the 6th minute of the match. Willian Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Wiklund having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Lemel SV's Rogério Ceni threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ettore Petroni, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 13 minutes into the game, Vinícius Servaes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. George Wiklund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Lemel SV's zone, Vinícius Servaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Wiklund came out of the goal and Vinícius Servaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. George Wiklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Servaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 23rd minute of play. Claudio Caniggia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rogério Ceni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vinícius Servaes took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Wiklund. George Wiklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 36thth minute of the game Vinícius Servaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lemel SV's George Wiklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfred Konradsson. In the 39th minute, Emiliano Furia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Servaes to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Diamante Negro DK - VV's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Caniggia came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lemel SV were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Diamante Negro DK - VV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. João Augusto Mello took the corner. The corner led Lemel SV's João Augusto Mello to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vinícius Servaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but George Wiklund made a huge save. 54 minutes into the game, Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Wiklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The nice shot from Vinícius Servaes in the 61stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but George Wiklund had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. A collision led to Lemel SV getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jacek Furlit hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's goalkeeper George Wiklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinícius Servaes. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Frederico Pontes was substituted for Mauro Ihintza.
