Spectators: 7719 (Terracing: 5790, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Antonio Alzamendi took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 3rd minute of play forced Saco FC's goalkeeper Phillip Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phillip Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Adolfo Gipuzkoa put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Alzamendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saco FC's Adolfo Gipuzkoa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fábio Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Alzamendi in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Adolfo Gipuzkoa put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. In the 26th minute Blumenau Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Nildo Dantas went to the cornerflag to take it. 27 minutes into the game, Chris Dhaussy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Luiz Fábio Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Bochini in the 30th minute of play. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Bin Shevchenko sped through Saco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Phillip Glerum. Antonio Alzamendi had several of the Blumenau Esporte Clube's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-1 score and a disappointed Luiz Fábio Leite as he didn't even see the shot coming. Phillip Glerum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Alzamendi got free with Luiz Fábio Leite in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Saco FC's Phillip Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Blumenau Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Nildo Dantas went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Blumenau Esporte Clube's corner Nildo Dantas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Phillip Glerum quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Blumenau Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. José Augusto Couto hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Antonio Alzamendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fábio Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antonio Alzamendi in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fábio Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wolfgang Amvig in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Bochini came free, but Luiz Fábio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Antonio Alzamendi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bin Shevchenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phillip Glerum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bin Shevchenko ran back to his position shaking his head. Phillip Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Luiz Fábio Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Gipuzkoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas-Ignacio Lugano charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucas-Ignacio Lugano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Blumenau Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Lucas-Ignacio Lugano.
