Ulises Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Dominic Albright hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Joseph Smits managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Koolkerke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Smits was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robertinho Carabajal was the one to do the kick off. Terence Nicholas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Steven having to interfere. Robertinho Carabajal struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Aaron Smallwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Koolkerke. Semi Acartürk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Smallwood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robertinho Carabajal's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Tyron Velasquez took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulises Steven. Ulises Steven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mike Richardson struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Ulises Steven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC.
