Vítor Baia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Vissenaeken got free with Rogério Mitovski in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rogério Mitovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Sandro Gaúcho hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes San Mauro A Mare FC got a freekick which was hit by Levent Hicran. In the 36th minute Tony Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Levent Hicran in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vítor Baia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 59 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Ümit Karan. Rogério Mitovski came out of the goal and Percy da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Brugge United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. San Mauro A Mare FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
