Cristian Naike started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Naike came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bai Jun Chong came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elpidio Vitin could save by the left post. Nicolas Roland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Naike in the 24th minute of play. Bai Jun Chong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Elpidio Vitin made a huge save. Arnold Szuper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Naike's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Roland in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Naike came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Tivadar Demeter came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Celedonio Eriz with Santos Fonda as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Naike, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tivadar Demeter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, Tivadar Demeter notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin. Elpidio Vitin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vélez Juniors's Benicio Rivas was substituted for Alberto Joey. Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong was substituted for Tivadar Demeter. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Roland in the 70th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolas Roland spun around in front of the goal 70 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Szombathely Squirrels's goal. 76 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Roland came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Roland, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lei Jian Xiong scored 3-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elpidio Vitin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Roland in the 85th minute of the match. Lei Jian Xiong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elpidio Vitin having to make a save. 87 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Jian Xiong came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Tamás Szentesi came free, but Elpidio Vitin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Lei Jian Xiong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szombathely Squirrels's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lei Jian Xiong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santos Fonda hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Szombathely Squirrels's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
