The MAZER SAF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Joélson Coutinho hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Rômulo Amaral took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gildo Simões. Gildo Simões dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Gildo Simões made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cafu Alagoano in the 41st minute. Gildo Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ángel Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fábio Umrihin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Ángel Romero struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Gildo Simões didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MAZER SAF. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ángel Romero to make the kick off. If Cafu Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the game, MAZER SAF's Cafu Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gildo Simões made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Gildo Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MAZER SAF had played much better football throughout.
