Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tico Mole started the match with the kick off. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Secco in the 3rd minute of play. Ismael Secco took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Luís Montenegro. Pedro Luís Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Palmares Futebol Clube booed when Bucéfalo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bucéfalo FC's zone, Ismael Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Montenegro came out of the goal and Ismael Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Luisinho Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bucéfalo FC's Pedro Luís Montenegro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romário Passos's late challenge caught a Palmares Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romário Passos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Passos to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Ismael Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Paz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tico Mole in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Ricardo Barreto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmares Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bucéfalo FC the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Barreto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Thomás Freitas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Donatello to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Sena came free, but Pedro Luís Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Palmares Futebol Clube were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Secco to strike the kick off in the second half. Leonardo Paz came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bucéfalo FC's Tico Mole. But to his dismay, Tico Mole quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 58th minute Luisinho Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Freitas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Nogueira in the 62nd minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute João Vítor Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Botelho to maneuver through the defense. Palmares Futebol Clube made a substitution. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, João Vítor Sena made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Luís Montenegro. Bucéfalo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Hélio Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Pedro Luís Montenegro made a huge save. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Sena in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Hélio Vale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luís Montenegro. Hélio Vale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Pedro Luís Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ismael Secco sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Palmares Futebol Clube defense, Tico Mole kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Paz. The Palmares Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Paz should have stopped the shot. The Palmares Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
