The referee ignored MC ESPANHOL's protests and gave Mauro Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MC ESPANHOL getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Mauro Nascimento hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Gregório Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teófilo Belém was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mira United FC's Eriberto Bonadona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Ribeiro in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind MC ESPANHOL's goalkeeper Teófilo Belém, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute Virgílio Serpa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Bonadona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind MC ESPANHOL's goalkeeper Teófilo Belém, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eriberto Bonadona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Serpa in the 68th minute of the match. Gregório Neiva struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Teófilo Belém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mira United FC. Feng Cheng Ling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Teófilo Belém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
