Flavio Rivero started the match with the kick off. Grigore Roşu kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Muget's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Salvadore came free, but Petru Șofran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pompiliu Găină got free with Aaron Fe in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximiliano Remir's late challenge caught a Muget's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Remir helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Muget booed when Patricio Rey Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Remir didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Felix Oneț. Pompiliu Găină kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Muget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costică Alb to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Muget booed when Patricio Rey Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Locaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes, Muget's Grigore Roşu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aaron Fe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muget reached it. A collision led to Patricio Rey Futbol Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Lisandro Txurio hit a great ball. With a little luck, Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Aaron Fe got control of the ball when Pompiliu Găină tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petru Sabău received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aaron Fe came out and tried to block the shot, but Petru Sabău slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petru Sabău was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Silvano Salvadore recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petru Șofran. Silvano Salvadore showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Maximiliano Remir got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petru Sabău in the 59th minute of play forced Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goalkeeper Aaron Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Remir could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Petru Șofran made a huge save. Silvano Salvadore succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 70th playminute. In the 74th minute Pompiliu Găină shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petru Sabău charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Petru Sabău the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Muget got a freekick which was hit by Petru Sabău. 79 minutes into the match, Petru Sabău notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Aaron Fe. Aaron Fe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Grigore Roşu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aaron Fe. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 2-2. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Petru Șofran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patricio Rey Futbol Club. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petru Sabău in the 129th minute of play forced Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goalkeeper Aaron Fe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Găină, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Defensive play by both the teams in the second half of extra-time meant the match finished 2-2. The game would now be decided on penalties.

The goalkeeper, Petru Șofran, was totally fooled by Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Denis Gabon, who 137 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 139th minute there was a penalty for Muget. Grigore Roşu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aaron Fe. 4-4. The referee gave Muget a penalty, 148 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Costică Alb, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Aaron Fe. 7-7. The goalkeeper, Petru Șofran, was totally fooled by Patricio Rey Futbol Club's Aaron Fe, who 150 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
