C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Alzaga FC's Placido Lia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Martin Indartsu came free, but Edvaldo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by SORRISO E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jimeno Ospetsu was slow to take the kick. During this time Alzaga FC's players had a chance to rest. Edvaldo Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Quirze in the 17th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Reinaldo Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaldo Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Olívio Meirelles got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Branco got free with Eulalio Joseph in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matias Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Matias Abella hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to SORRISO E. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Placido Lia made a kick off. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eulalio Joseph showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Salamon in the 58th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alzaga FC's Eulalio Joseph played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Faria in the 64th minute of play. Martin Indartsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvaldo Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Branco came free, but Eulalio Joseph reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
