Penuel Football Club's Faron Cenal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Faron Cenal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Talledo having to make a save. If Remi Baros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Juarez in the 16th minute of play forced Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper Victorio Detres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidelio Herboso during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Fidelio Herboso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Penuel Football Club's Victorio Detres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blanco Paris in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Ortzi Elizondo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penuel Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U. de Tarapacá the free kick. The supporters of U. de Tarapacá booed when Penuel Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ortzi Elizondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Val Quera kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Gerardo Peede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Leopoldo Cero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Talledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolomé Romero in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorio Detres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, Ortzi Elizondo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Talledo. U. de Tarapacá's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ortzi Elizondo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 43 minutes into the game, Val Quera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mariano Talledo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Cavenaghi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Cavenaghi to strike the kick off in the second half. Candido Hoefler charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Candido Hoefler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U. de Tarapacá getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Victorio Detres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remi Baros in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Cavenaghi in the 71st minute of play forced U. de Tarapacá's goalkeeper Mariano Talledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Penuel Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faron Cenal to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Penuel Football Club's Faron Cenal got a free kick in the 74th minute. Val Quera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victorio Detres. Penuel Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fernando Cavenaghi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mariano Talledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Penuel Football Club's Munio Larrieta made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Talledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 83 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Cavenaghi came free, but Mariano Talledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Talledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Cavenaghi's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Leopoldo Cero kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes, U. de Tarapacá's Remi Baros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorio Detres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U. de Tarapacá reached it. In the 88th minute Ortzi Elizondo suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Fidelio Herboso got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th minute of the match Aires Viña sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Talledo skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Penuel Football Club's Victorio Detres got control of the ball when Blanco Paris tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Blanco Paris dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victorio Detres, 5-1.
It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Penuel Football Club had played much better football throughout.
