Marcial Estavan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Türkeş Akşit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Estavan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Türkeş Akşit ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Türkeş Akşit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Estavan was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 78th minute Dagoberto Neila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zhu Ao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Marcial Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batıhan Saik in the 80th minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Herminio Iratze made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some careless play in the INDEPENDIENTE F.C. defense, Batıhan Saik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcial Estavan. The INDEPENDIENTE F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcial Estavan should have stopped the shot. Marcial Estavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Batıhan Saik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Orlan got free with Zhu Ao in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the match, Batıhan Saik notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s Marcial Estavan. Marcial Estavan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
