The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd play minute Mauro Sarmento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Patrik Hake. 1-0. Patrik Hake was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Júnior Alagoano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Júnior Alagoano really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Ronaldo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Jan-Åke Termander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauro Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Patrik Hake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. When Mauro Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Sarmento couldn't finish the play. Doni Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Karlberg in the 35th minute of play. Mauro Sarmento took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrik Hake. Patrik Hake dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The supporters of LA VIOLA booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Sarmento who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Patrik Hake when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Adam Karlberg made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, LA VIOLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Karlberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the match Telmo da Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrik Hake skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, LA VIOLA's Sten Galle got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Adam Karlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87th play minutes Mauro Sarmento shot 9-0, a short shot which went by Patrik Hake and just under the crossbar into goal. Patrik Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júnior Alagoano in the 94th minute of play. After 95 played minutes LA VIOLA got a freekick which was hit by Göran Jernberg. Castanheiro SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
