Pankracy Glogowski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Waldo Renteria showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. Claude Joyner kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Mugur Chiriac's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dario Wilhelm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamar Orlinsky in the 55th minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Amir Lee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. It was a well-played corner which Claude Joyner managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 60th minute Amir Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Allen Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
