Alex Stratmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 6 played minutes Kings Lynn got a freekick which was hit by Micha Hilti. Mathias Kathan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Heiermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 37th minute, Oliver Heiermann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinneberger FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Oliver Heiermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Josef Fromm in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walther Ketzer saved Pinneberger FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacob Josef Fromm in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walther Ketzer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jacob Josef Fromm made the kick off in the second half. Pinneberger FC's Alex Stratmann was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Alex Schäfer fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinneberger FC's protests and gave Alex Schäfer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kings Lynn booed when Pinneberger FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Schäfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd play minute Alex Stratmann came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mathias Kathan. 0-7.

When the final whistle sounded Pinneberger FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kings Lynn.
