Lisandro Ihintza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Asad, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. A collision led to John Galt getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Humberto Pimentel hit a great ball. Bernabe Urko hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Evaristo Brion fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grupo Informatico's protests and gave Evaristo Brion a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of John Galt booed when Grupo Informatico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Brion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chico Wey succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Raul Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Pimentel got free with Lisandro Ihintza in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Chico Wey managed to get in a good position for a shot. John Galt's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Wey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lisandro Ihintza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christoper Chung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Teofilio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Raul Teofilio put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christoper Chung. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Lisandro Ihintza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Pimentel in the 53rd minute of play. Omar Giron's late challenge caught a Grupo Informatico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omar Giron helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, John Galt's Omar Giron got a free kick in the 55th minute. A collision led to John Galt getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Omar Giron hit a great ball. Raul Teofilio came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Christoper Chung could save by the left post. Lisandro Ihintza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Pimentel in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Edgard Lorencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Pimentel hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Humberto Hidalgo charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Hidalgo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for John Galt! John Galt:s Christoper Chung showed great skill when he stopped Gogo Atarratze:s penalty. Christoper Chung was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gogo Atarratze showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 75 minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Grupo Informatico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Gipuzkoa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Pimentel in the 79th minute of play forced Grupo Informatico's goalkeeper Lisandro Ihintza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoper Chung made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Raul Teofilio sent off a good shot on target. John Galt's Christoper Chung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Giro in the 85th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Teofilio got free with Christoper Chung in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 92 minutes, Edgard Lorencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grupo Informatico and the John Galt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grupo Informatico's Edgard Lorencio got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute of the match Sarbelio Murgas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lisandro Ihintza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Gogo Atarratze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grupo Informatico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave John Galt the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Grupo Informatico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Atarratze to maneuver through the defense.

The John Galt manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Grupo Informatico to win.
