Paradox FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Folke Dahlkvist in the 11th minute. Guga Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Eros André tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arne Palmquist charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arne Palmquist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of PIAUÍ FC booed when Paradox FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guga Trancoso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eros André read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Demis Katsarolidis made a great header on PIAUÍ FC's corner, it was just that Paradox FC's Eros André managed to reach the ball for a save. After taking down the ball on PIAUÍ FC's corner Víktor Santos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eros André quite easily take care of the ball. PIAUÍ FC were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Paradox FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Demis Katsarolidis took the corner. PIAUÍ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Demis Katsarolidis in the 38th minute. Wiktor Joensson thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Eros André, a very annoying self made goal in the 38th minute which led to 0-1. In the 43rd minute Baturhan Oytun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eros André saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eros André was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guga Trancoso to make the kick off. Eros André showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Guga Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paradox FC's Eros André was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ola Möller kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Juninho Freitas might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eros André. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juninho Freitas ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eros André narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 70 minutes Paradox FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Demis Katsarolidis who took care of the corner kick. When PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paradox FC's goalie prevented a goal. Mete Gøl's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Eros André skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Paradox FC's Eros André got control of the ball when Baturhan Oytun tried to sneak it across the goal line. PIAUÍ FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mete Gøl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredão Prestes hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Arne Linberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paradox FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Linberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Fero hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Paradox FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PIAUÍ FC's performance. The match ended with a win for PIAUÍ FC.
