In the 8th minute of the match, Benedicto Naelio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Atahan Marraccini saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Benedicto Naelio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Atahan Marraccini having to make a save. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Barto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lev Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andres Barto's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Argentina's attentive Paolo-César Maldini managed to snatch the ball when Romulo Esiquio made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. With a little luck, Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's Atahan Marraccini got control of the ball when Benedicto Naelio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedicto Naelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Atahan Marraccini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Joaquin Mark hit a great ball. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 45th minute of the match. Atahan Marraccini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedicto Naelio's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's İrfan Sancar was substituted for Joaquin Mark. After 64 minutes Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Jobo who took care of the corner kick. Lev Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Ilixo in the 67th minute. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Tepedino in the 74th minute of play. When Benedicto Naelio came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Argentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Naelio couldn't finish the play. Argentina made a substitution. Amado Arotza replaced Paolo-César Maldini. Argentina's Loco Durazno was substituted for Armando Felipillo. In the 80th minute Loco Durazno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Marraccini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's Atahan Marraccini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Arotza in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Arotza came free, but Atahan Marraccini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atahan Marraccini came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Argentina's Vicente Nevada. But to his dismay, Vicente Nevada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 90 minutes into the match, Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Loco Durazno came free, but Atahan Marraccini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Nevada in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atahan Marraccini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Ilixo's late challenge caught a Argentina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Ilixo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Argentina booed when Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Ilixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
