In the 8th minute, Maicon Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Flavio Vincente in the 9th minute really tested Elói de Medeiros's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The supporters of Galáctico Azul FC™ booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Celino in the 13th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Elói de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Celino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elói de Medeiros was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 19thth minute of the game Erasmo Celino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Elói de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Erasmo Celino put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Elói de Medeiros. Honorio Ritchie's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elói de Medeiros firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erasmo Celino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Elói de Medeiros skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 35 minutes, Claudinei Trevisan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the Galáctico Azul FC™ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claudinei Trevisan hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Barrenta SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Erasmo Celino 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Celino in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elói de Medeiros saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Israel Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galáctico Azul FC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elói de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Erasmo Celino made the kick off in the second half. Elói de Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erasmo Celino's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Ritchie came free, but Elói de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Varela got free with Enrique Belasko in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrique Belasko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Umberto Trigo in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Jardel Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Belasko. Galáctico Azul FC™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jardel Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. In the 67th minute, Erasmo Celino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galáctico Azul FC™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Umberto Trigo took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrique Belasko. Enrique Belasko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. In the 76thth minute of the game Erasmo Celino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Elói de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Galáctico Azul FC™'s Erasmo Celino in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrenta SC's goalie prevented a goal. Elói de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Ritchie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honorio Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói de Medeiros having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Honorio Ritchie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elói de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. If Erasmo Celino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elói de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Celino, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Galáctico Azul FC™ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Barrenta SC for a fine match.
