After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Tincho Palermo managed to get in a good position for a shot. República de la Boca's supporters rose to their feet, but Tincho Palermo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Bologna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tincho Palermo in the 23rd minute of play forced Masters United F.C.'s goalkeeper Enrique Bologna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Björkdahl in the 25th minute of play. If Andreas Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tincho Palermo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Masters United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alberto-Federico Acosta came free, but Enrique Bologna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto-Federico Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Gabriel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florencio Rafe in the 53rd minute. Enrique Bologna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tincho Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Flavio Bonfigli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Bologna was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 91st minute, Severino Di Giovanni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Bologna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.
