In the 29thth minute of the game Ulises Manex who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Platense es de Primera!!'s Olivér Khan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the El ABUELO FC defense, Moises Inocente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Bertassi. The El ABUELO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Bertassi should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Manex in the 45th minute of play forced Platense es de Primera!!'s goalkeeper Olivér Khan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

After a defensive mix-up in Platense es de Primera!!'s zone, Ulises Manex stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Manex's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olivér Khan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Platense es de Primera!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Manex came free, but Olivér Khan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Bertassi was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Martin Elizardo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martin Elizardo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Froilan Florinio hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. El ABUELO FC's Isidoro Azevedo was substituted for Ulises Manex. After a rather tough play, Platense es de Primera!!'s Froilan Florinio got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Rafli Leonard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olivér Khan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Platense es de Primera!!'s Emir Kujović made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Bertassi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The score was 3-3 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. El ABUELO FC's Isidoro Azevedo started the play with his kick off.
