A very good chance for a goal. Jorge Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Zielinski in the 3rd minute of the match. If Gregorio Hotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Rico Migachev with Saverio Cristos as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 9th minute Gregorio Hotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Zielinski in the 13th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cristo Elia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luisito Quinten was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Lyons defense, Gregorio Hotz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisito Quinten. The Lyons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisito Quinten should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Lyons's zone, Gregorio Hotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Quinten came out of the goal and Gregorio Hotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Hotz in the 22nd minute of play forced Lyons's goalkeeper Luisito Quinten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Elia came free, but Luisito Quinten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26thth minute of the game Boleslaw Zielinski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 28 minutes Espirillo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Berasko who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Severo Basualdo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Espirillo FC's Jorge Iztal did a great save. Luisito Quinten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Demario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lyons's Luisito Quinten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Elia in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Lyons booed when Espirillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Edwardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boleslaw Zielinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the match, Espirillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boleslaw Zielinski came free, but Jorge Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Cutberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Luisito Quinten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Boleslaw Zielinski. After having played for 45 minutes, Boleslaw Zielinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boleslaw Zielinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Espirillo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boleslaw Zielinski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Zielinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Iztal was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Boleslaw Zielinski struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jorge Iztal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lyons. Gregorio Hotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Luisito Quinten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyons's Aurelio Vasco was substituted for Mario Chago. Lyons made a substitution. Dariusz Roano replaced Boleslaw Zielinski. Arturo Edwardo's late challenge caught a Lyons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Edwardo helped the player get up and apologised. After 67 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Edwardo. In the 68th minute, Wambasther Piqué hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Iztal came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Lyons's Dariusz Roano. But to his dismay, Dariusz Roano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dariusz Roano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Iztal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Dariusz Roano scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Iztal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jorge Iztal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Roano in the 85th minute of play. Ruperto Salvadore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Lyons's Luisito Quinten got control of the ball when Aaron Cutberto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Lyons's Dariusz Roano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Iztal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Lyons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregorio Hotz got free with Luisito Quinten in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
