An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Gaardahl in the 20th minute of play forced SOUTH AFRICA's goalkeeper Romeo Dominic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Artemio Jokin came up free with the goalie in the 104th minute, the SOUTH AFRICA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Jokin couldn't finish the play. In the 106th minute Artemio Jokin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Vimaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although SOUTH AFRICA had been in control for most of the match, La Maquina 9-12-18 still came away with the win.
