In the 39thth minute of the game Jacinto Fantini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cremonese FC's Dráusio Ortiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Batista to make the kick off. Mohamed Salah struck a weak shot in the 60th minute.
