The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Duro was the one to do the kick off. C.A.Independiente's Fabian Ipar got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. León Carbonell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlitos Prezioso in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Gorbea came free, but Karl-Axel Jansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
