With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Axel Jansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute of the match O rey Iván got a corner. C.A.Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augusto Fliz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Despite this Karl-Axel Jansson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 20 minutes into the match, O rey Iván's goalkeeper Aristides Barea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolfo Sidro. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 played minutes O rey Iván got a freekick which was hit by Simon Hug. Ludomir Oleszak didn't quite understand what happened when in the 54 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Aristides Barea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Ipar in the 59th minute of play. Mihály Fülep struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Karl-Axel Jansson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for O rey Iván. O rey Iván's Pastor Martxot was substituted for Dionisio Orland. Ivan Lizar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl-Axel Jansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Augusto Fliz in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl-Axel Jansson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carlitos Prezioso scored 1-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aristides Barea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. C.A.Independiente made a substitution. Moises Bladi replaced Carlitos Prezioso. 87 minutes into the game, Adolfo Sidro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Aristides Barea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's Falcão Nunes got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in O rey Iván's zone, Moises Bladi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristides Barea came out of the goal and Moises Bladi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
