Benjamin Meurs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Chorache, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Cesario in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Meurs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guaberto Cesario hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the match, Zeledon Niguel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Springplank FC's Benjamin Meurs. Benjamin Meurs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Murphy during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benjamin Meurs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Niguel in the 15th minute of play. Benjamin Meurs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Edorta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathieu Schophuis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Benjamin Meurs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Cesario, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Springplank FC's Wasyl Majczyk got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kant Cooley came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Springplank FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kant Cooley couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes in the game, Eddie Murphy fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Enrique Bologna having to interfere. Benjamin Meurs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Cesario in the 36th minute of play. Springplank FC's Benjamin Meurs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Niguel in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match Kant Cooley climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Enrique Bologna. After 47 played minutes, Springplank FC's Gerrit Bos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enrique Bologna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Springplank FC reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
NANO FC made a substitution. Saul Kusko replaced Bartolo Mazuste. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guaberto Cesario was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes NANO FC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Chorache. The supporters of NANO FC booed when Springplank FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kemper didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zeledon Niguel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benjamin Meurs firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 62nd minute Kant Cooley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Bologna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Springplank FC's Freek Reitsema got a free kick in the 63rd minute. NANO FC's Zeledon Niguel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benjamin Meurs but with some difficulty. 67 minutes into the match, Kant Cooley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Bologna. NANO FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kant Cooley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Enrique Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Murphy in the 70th minute of play. When Freek Reitsema was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. In the 74th match minute, Springplank FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freek Reitsema to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Eddie Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Bologna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wasyl Majczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute of the match, Wasyl Majczyk sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Enrique Bologna showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Ovidio Lore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Eddie Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Bologna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Springplank FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of NANO FC for a fine match.
