After taking down the ball on Esmeralda AFC's corner Serafino Tavio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hugon Lenertej quite easily take care of the ball. In the 26th match minute, Fragmenty Nietoperzy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Jaroch to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Esmeralda AFC booed when Fragmenty Nietoperzy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Jaroch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrew Dalli ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute Andrew Dalli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugon Lenertej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Andrew Dalli made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Fragmenty Nietoperzy's goalkeeper Hugon Lenertej had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrew Dalli. The audience was convinced that David Banegas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugon Lenertej was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Andrew Dalli could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Hugon Lenertej however easily saved by the left post. If Andrew Dalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Esmeralda AFC's Hugon Lenertej threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from David Banegas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 62 minutes Fragmenty Nietoperzy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Devidatta Vendetta who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Esmeralda AFC's David Banegas to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugon Lenertej despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hugon Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Banegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Banegas took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugon Lenertej. Hugon Lenertej dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Fragmenty Nietoperzy's Hugon Lenertej played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Banegas in the 69th minute of play. Andrew Dalli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Hugon Lenertej made a huge save. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fragmenty Nietoperzy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Devidatta Vendetta was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeralda AFC's players had a chance to rest. Hugon Lenertej took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Banegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Jaroch's late challenge caught a Esmeralda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Herbert Jaroch helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Andrew Dalli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Banegas in the 80th minute of play forced Fragmenty Nietoperzy's goalkeeper Hugon Lenertej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Banegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugon Lenertej read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Andrew Dalli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugon Lenertej was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Igor Ciborek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danijel Subašić having to interfere. Esmeralda AFC's Devidatta Vendetta got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrew Dalli scored 0-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugon Lenertej, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Fragmenty Nietoperzy getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Damazy Marut hit a great ball. Esmeralda AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
