With a little luck, Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić got control of the ball when Doni Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Belotaurus FC's Doni Cordeiro, in the 7th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Belotaurus FC. Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zülfü Sungur in the 9th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Banegas in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fanis Geronimidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Esmeralda AFC from getting a goal against them. Andrew Dalli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Esquipula in the 19th minute of play forced Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonardo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danijel Subašić having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doni Cordeiro. If Andrew Dalli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fanis Geronimidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Esquipula, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Belotaurus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zülfü Sungur was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Erivaldo Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Gaúcho in the 43rd minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Leonardo Gaúcho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić. Danijel Subašić was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute, Leonardo Gaúcho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belotaurus FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Gaúcho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fanis Geronimidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zülfü Sungur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Gaúcho in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danijel Subašić saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. After 57 played minutes Belotaurus FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Urre. Kong Kun Xu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zülfü Sungur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Esmeralda AFC's Fanis Geronimidis threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jimeno Esquipula, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lê Yang during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Danijel Subašić stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonardo Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Belotaurus FC's Rui Cunha got a free kick in the 80th minute. Danijel Subašić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Belotaurus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonardo Gaúcho in the 91st minute. The corner ended in Leonardo Gaúcho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Esmeralda AFC's Danijel Subašić did a great save. In the 94th minute, Jimeno Esquipula reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fanis Geronimidis. The goal made the score 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Esmeralda AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Belotaurus FC.
