VB-Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genílson Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Edgar Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim de Barros came free, but Edgar Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barrenta SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
