An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaroslaw Gongolewicz in the 25th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karol Andrzejewski hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Edson-Arantes Maradona might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanek Wojtyna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edson-Arantes Maradona ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute Edson-Arantes Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bartosz Furgat came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the TheLastDance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartosz Furgat couldn't finish the play. The supporters of TheLastDance booed when U21 Poland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roman Fujarczuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 87 minutes into the game, U21 Poland's Eric Esposito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
