The audience thought a goal was coming when Ove Salkvist got free with Sixto Luke in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute of the match BK Gubbhöft got a corner. Pilar FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ciro Incendio ran over to the corner to take the kick. BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Jenaro in the 12th minute of play. Isaac Jonasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Hendrickx in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goalkeeper Sixto Luke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ove Salkvist. In the 23rd minute, Candido Hendrickx made a precise shot to the right of Isaac Jonasson. BK Gubbhöft's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Sten Hydén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to BK Gubbhöft getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Olle Björn hit a great ball. Candido Hendrickx took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaac Jonasson. Isaac Jonasson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Pilar FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Candido Hendrickx was the one to do the kick off. Çağan Özver hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Godofredo Lano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Olle Björn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Luke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Ahlin in the 59th minute of play. When Candido Hendrickx came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Pilar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Candido Hendrickx couldn't finish the play. Sixto Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Blue in the 64th minute of the match. Isaac Jonasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Hendrickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Luke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Veronica, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Sixto Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Ahlin in the 70th minute of the match. Pilar FC made a substitution. Victor Blue's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixto Luke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Sixto Luke was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Nicanor Illan took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Isaac Jonasson to make any attempt to save it.
