Ricardinho de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Han Guang Kang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Wellington Fonseca in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Bears are Back's Cezary Adamowicz. 7 minutes into the match, Bears are Back's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Feng Yan came free, but Jan Faust reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Faustão Châton in the 9th minute. Han Guang Kang might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esen Sanal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Han Guang Kang ran back to his position shaking his head. Bears are Back were furious when Cezary Adamowicz was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Bears are Back:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul:s goal. In the 27th minute Han Guang Kang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Faust made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan in the 31st minute of play. The corner led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lucio Siekkötter getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Han Guang Kang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esen Sanal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Jan Faust made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krisztián Véber in the 46th minute of play. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Han Guang Kang was the one to do the kick off. If Krisztián Véber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Siekkötter scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Faust, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute Tarcisio Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Faust saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Augusto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Faust took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lei Feng Yan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Faust made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krisztián Véber in the 73rd minute of play. Bears are Back's Jan Faust played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krisztián Véber in the 75th minute of play. Korneliusz Tokarczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esen Sanal having to interfere. Krisztián Véber struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Jan Faust didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul. In the 89th minute 张坤源 suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Lucio Siekkötter fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's protests and gave Lucio Siekkötter a yellow card for diving instead. Bears are Back made a substitution. Iwo Dynda replaced 张坤源. After 91 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Siekkötter. Jan Faust showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krisztián Véber, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jan Faust made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krisztián Véber in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Bears are Back lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
