Saul Markkula's late challenge caught a Central Coast Mariners's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saul Markkula helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Akkala FC got a freekick which was hit by Saul Markkula. Potter Fynn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyösti Rautee in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyösti Rautee in the 20th minute of play forced Central Coast Mariners's goalkeeper Potter Fynn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Dante Kennedy had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kai Hakamäki. Akkala FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dante Kennedy was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Akkala FC's Kai Hakamäki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Akkala FC from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Kyösti Rautee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remy Hayward charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remy Hayward the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remy Hayward kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Kai Hakamäki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 44th minute, Saul Markkula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Dante Kennedy made the kick off in the second half. Central Coast Mariners's Potter Fynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Central Coast Mariners from getting a goal against them. Dagan Fison got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Akkala FC's Ari Timmonen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Potter Fynn. Kai Hakamäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Atterton in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Remy Hayward left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Central Coast Mariners fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 70 minutes into the match, Central Coast Mariners's goal looked a bit too open when Kyösti Rautee came free, but Potter Fynn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Central Coast Mariners's Potter Fynn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Central Coast Mariners from getting a goal against them. Alfred Meyers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Hakamäki having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Atterton in the 79th minute of play forced Akkala FC's goalkeeper Kai Hakamäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Potter Fynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyösti Rautee, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. A collision led to Central Coast Mariners getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dante Kennedy hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Ari Timmonen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
