Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herbert Grom in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Kroneder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 42 minutes, Lech Pisarcik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lech Pisarcik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Feliks Wojton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tony Kroneder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pawel Dawidowicz to maneuver through the defense. Emil Zachemski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Artur Boruc. Poland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maksymilian Solibieda was the one to do the kick off. The throw-in from Zachariasz Sitko in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Twierdza Wroclaw's Franco Terenzi. Zachariasz Sitko made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Twierdza Wroclaw's Roch Wojno. Tony Kroneder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliks Wojton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maksymilian Solibieda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Artur Boruc made a huge save. Twierdza Wroclaw made a substitution. Poland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emil Zachemski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Twierdza Wroclaw getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Misael Mesia hit a great ball. Poland's Marek Czech was substituted for Herbert Grom. The supporters of Poland booed when Twierdza Wroclaw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Misael Mesia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Poland's Lech Pisarcik broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 66 minutes into the match, Marek Czech had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Kroneder. The Twierdza Wroclaw fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Kroneder should have stopped the shot. 80 minutes into the game, Poland's Marek Czech nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tony Kroneder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0.
