Bogdan Ignătoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 信 龙天义's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Denis Pumnu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Johnny Maftei made a huge save. Denis Pumnu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Johnny Maftei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for -BZF- Barca de Buzau. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Ove Odman in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Ignătoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Diniz came free, but Bogdan Ignătoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Maftei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jock Tare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by 信 龙天义 in the 38th minute of play forced -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Bogdan Ignătoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Big Saver hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. With a little luck, FC UMBRE's Johnny Maftei got control of the ball when Denis Pumnu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilhelm Röntgen made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aron Golumbean immediately put the ball in play. Johnny Maftei made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Denis Pumnu sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC UMBRE getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Wilhelm Röntgen hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Ove Odman to make the kick off. Bogdan Ignătoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute of the match, Jean Diniz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bogdan Ignătoiu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Denis Pumnu managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Pumnu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Maftei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Stig-Ove Odman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denis Pumnu might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johnny Maftei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Pumnu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute, Laurențiu Paulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Maftei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jock Tare, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Jean Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC UMBRE booed when -BZF- Barca de Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Drăgănoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC UMBRE's Stig-Ove Odman got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With an all-out effort, FC UMBRE's Bogdan Ignătoiu threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stig-Ove Odman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bogdan Ignătoiu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stig-Ove Odman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 73 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Pumnu in the 79th minute of play forced FC UMBRE's goalkeeper Johnny Maftei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandu Cojocaru's late challenge caught a FC UMBRE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandu Cojocaru helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Sandu Cojocaru got a free kick in the 95th minute. The FC UMBRE players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
