Laurențiu Bărănescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jeroen Kimman made a huge save. Laurențiu Bărănescu took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeroen Kimman. Jeroen Kimman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Zé Augusto Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymond Prins in the 29th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s corner Pompiliu Alupoaie fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jeroen Kimman quite easily take care of the ball. Jeroen Kimman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Mugur, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Calistrat Mugur made a precise shot to the right of Jeroen Kimman. Vuilendam's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karel Zilverberg in the 37th minute of play forced Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s goalkeeper Zé Augusto Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laurențiu Bărănescu made a kick off. Zé Augusto Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luc Heuving in the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Máté Baron got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Vuilendam defense, Laurențiu Bărănescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeroen Kimman. The Vuilendam fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeroen Kimman should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute Laurențiu Bărănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeroen Kimman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
