Ubaldo Goyaness short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Sorin Horațiu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 5 minutes, Basarab Zberea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC ALEX JR and the Sporting Angola players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miguel Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sorin Horațiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Sein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Geamănu in the 18th minute of play. Ubaldo Goyanes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sorin Horațiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, FC ALEX JR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Gunnarsson to maneuver through the defense. Ubaldo Goyanes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sorin Horațiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Ubaldo Goyanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Claus Wüllbier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Horațiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, FC ALEX JR's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Goyanes came free, but Sorin Horațiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sorin Horațiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Tomiczek, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Ubaldo Goyanes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sorin Horațiu. The goal made the score 2-0. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Cristiano Del Monaco took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sorin Horațiu to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ognyan Peshev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sorin Horațiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Wüllbier, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 62nd match minute, FC ALEX JR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Zberea to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Cunha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sorin Horațiu. FC ALEX JR's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Birger Gunnarsson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Ubaldo Goyanes scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sorin Horațiu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sorin Horațiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Wüllbier in the 76th minute of play. If Ciro Coscia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 minutes of play, Sporting Angola's Ciro Coscia made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sorin Horațiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sorin Horațiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ailton Curvelo in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC ALEX JR's Ognyan Peshev got a free kick in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sporting Angola fully deserved thier win.
