Júnior Alagoano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cayetano Esdras having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Alagoano in the 12th minute of play forced De Boedo Vengo's goalkeeper Cayetano Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Esdras made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Ronaldo Pinho sent off a good shot on target. Castanheiro SC's Júnior Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, De Boedo Vengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severiano Amaya to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Sarmento who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Cayetano Esdras when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Gomesano in the 23rd minute of play. Mauro Sarmento took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cayetano Esdras. Cayetano Esdras dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 32 minutes into the game, Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cayetano Esdras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Castanheiro SC's Arnaldo Lago was substituted for Basílio Toledo. In the 37th minute, Mauro Sarmento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Cayetano Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ronaldo Pinho hit a great ball. Ronaldo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Castanheiro SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Telmo da Fonseca in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the De Boedo Vengo defense, Júnior Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Esdras. The De Boedo Vengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Esdras should have stopped the shot. After 62nd play minutes Júnior Alagoano shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Cayetano Esdras and just under the crossbar into goal. Cayetano Esdras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Sarmento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cayetano Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 75th minute of play. Cayetano Esdras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júnior Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Mauro Sarmento sped through De Boedo Vengo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cayetano Esdras. Castanheiro SC made a substitution. Jailson Esteves replaced Arnaldo Lago. De Boedo Vengo's Cayetano Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo da Fonseca in the 83rd minute of play. Cayetano Esdras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Castanheiro SC were awarded a corner. Telmo da Fonseca went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júnior Alagoano in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Esdras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victoriano Ibañez kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Júnior Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Esdras having to interfere. Mauro Sarmento scored 7-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Esdras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. De Boedo Vengo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
