Marc Anthonissen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Riquelme in the 19th minute of play. When SeaForD's Harold Loozen in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harold Loozen couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SeaForD getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Arnoldo Stahl hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Uriel Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Anthonissen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harold Loozen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Denis Paulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Anthonissen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Denny Nixon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Denis Paulin made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, SeaForD's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Marc Anthonissen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
