The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Beltxe got free with Haji Sarap in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bartolo Sayvion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanildo Luis in the 15th minute of the match. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Beltxe in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Geovanildo Luis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanildo Luis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolo Sayvion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute Bruno Beltxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haji Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joinville City - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 47th minute of play forced Fortinero hasta la muerte's goalkeeper Bartolo Sayvion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fortinero hasta la muerte's Bonifacio Rico got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
