Cláudio Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Allan Ennegren almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Red Bull Magnus's Cláudio Bittencourt did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bass Dost in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Lopes saved moraliensis - DMZ from getting behind. Bas De Block hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Bass Dost's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Lopes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by moraliensis - DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sten Koch was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Bull Magnus's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Red Bull Magnus's corner Sten Koch fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cláudio Lopes quite easily take care of the ball. Red Bull Magnus's Marthen de Bruin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Merūnas Gegeckas, made in the 45th minute of the game. Cláudio Lopes made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Bass Dost sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mito Bampi to make the kick off.
