The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kristián Pražan was a little too slow when Barry Houghton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 5th match minute, Taliban FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Falcón to maneuver through the defense. Kristián Pražan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Pauleta's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute El Boudiaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Sesimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristián Pražan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Pauleta in the 9th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Herman Dresselbjerg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kristián Pražan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kristián Pražan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry Houghton in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Taliban FC's Kristián Pražan got control of the ball when Pedro Pauleta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dragonf⮊rcE's Zacarias Sesimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Gniewek in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Abrika in the 24th minute of play forced Dragonf⮊rcE's goalkeeper Zacarias Sesimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zacarias Sesimbra came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Taliban FC's Mohamed Abrika. But to his dismay, Mohamed Abrika quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Taliban FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Daniel Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Kristián Pražan, making the score, 2-2. Kristián Pražan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Taliban FC's goalkeeper Kristián Pražan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barry Houghton. In the last second Kristián Pražan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pedro Pauleta in the 47thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Dragonf⮊rcE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Virgílio Coelho in the 49th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Zacarias Sesimbra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cezary Gniewek in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Dragonf⮊rcE's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Arantes came free, but Zacarias Sesimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Mohamed Abrika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taliban FC's Jerry Featherson was substituted for Roberto Falcón. A collision led to Taliban FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mohamed Abrika hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Pedro Pauleta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristián Pražan. Taliban FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Pauleta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Dragonf⮊rcE's Jerónimo Pais was substituted for Rogério Leme. Zacarias Sesimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from El Boudiaf in the 73rd minute of the match. Dragonf⮊rcE's Zacarias Sesimbra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Dragonf⮊rcE from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cezary Gniewek got free with Zacarias Sesimbra in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dragonf⮊rcE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Taliban FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
