Dorio Laje didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Levent Hicran went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to U21 Venezuela getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Emeterio Somalo hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, San Mauro A Mare FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bizen Eguia came free, but Rogério Mitovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Dinu Dobre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Venezuela's Dorio Laje was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 35th match minute, U21 Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xurde Buiza to maneuver through the defense. Levent Hicran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Dorio Laje made a huge save. When Francesco Cremonese came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the San Mauro A Mare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Cremonese couldn't finish the play. Serafo Tome could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Dorio Laje made a huge save. San Mauro A Mare FC's Serafo Tome managed to work through U21 Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Serafo Tome dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. U21 Venezuela's Dorio Laje proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 44th match minute, U21 Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xurde Buiza to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes, San Mauro A Mare FC's Dinu Dobre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dorio Laje came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Mauro A Mare FC reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bizen Eguia to make the kick off. Paskal Baragaño's late challenge caught a San Mauro A Mare FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paskal Baragaño helped the player get up and apologised. Paskal Baragaño hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The supporters of San Mauro A Mare FC booed when U21 Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paskal Baragaño didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorio Laje showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levent Hicran, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rogério Mitovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bizen Eguia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Venezuela's Xandro Zubillaga was substituted for Bizen Eguia. After 62 minutes San Mauro A Mare FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ximun Zaldos who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ximun Zaldos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Mauro A Mare FC's Rogério Mitovski did a great save. In the 66th minute Levent Hicran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorio Laje saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Mitovski came out of the goal and Ximun Zaldos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorio Laje didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armin Berardini went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the match, Zhu Yun Bin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dorio Laje. U21 Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhu Yun Bin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Dorio Laje made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafo Tome in the 91st minute of play. After 91 minutes, Armin Berardini made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Venezuela's Dorio Laje tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorio Laje came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by San Mauro A Mare FC's Armin Berardini. But to his dismay, Armin Berardini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0.
