Black Eagles FC were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after 1947 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven Helberg took the corner. Black Eagles FC's Ovidio Orkatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Goren Baños in the 15th minute of play. Black Eagles FC were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after 1947 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven Helberg took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Sven Helberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brian Johnson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Tayyar Tanzer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brian Johnson was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. If Andrzej Mlekodaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Black Eagles FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristobal Baumar was slow to take the kick. During this time 1947 FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Cristobal Baumar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidio Orkatz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alejo Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ladislao Roano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Johnson having to interfere. With a little luck, Black Eagles FC's Ovidio Orkatz got control of the ball when Armando Fasoli tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brian Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svenning Bernov in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Fasoli was the one to do the kick off. Black Eagles FC were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after 1947 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven Helberg took the corner. The corner led to Black Eagles FC's Alejo Acosta getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 56th minute, Jordan Poole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Black Eagles FC booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Mlekodaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Acosta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Jose Lopez charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Jose Lopez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 1947 FC's Alejo Idacio was substituted for Goren Baños. In a very dangerous position, a player in Black Eagles FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Ovidio Orkatz had in the 75thth minute some difficulties stopping Andrzej Mlekodaj's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Armando Fasoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1947 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Fasoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tayyar Tanzer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Brian Johnson made a huge save. Brian Johnson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tayyar Tanzer in the 79th minute.
