Haedo Lokomotiv's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Bento ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on NDVX's corner Carlos Bento fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joel Espiridion quite easily take care of the ball. In the 21st minute Carlos Bento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Espiridion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haedo Lokomotiv's Joel Espiridion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Bento in the 24th minute of play. Carlos Bento took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Espiridion. Joel Espiridion dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 31st minute of the game Aldo Cuartio made a throw-in which Victorino Flor played forward. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Jurgi was the one to do the kick off. NDVX's Carlos Bento was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
