But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin couldn't finish the play. José Pedro Borges made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Maurinho Mendonça however managed to control. In the 20th minute, Maurinho Mendonça made a precise shot to the right of Gianluigi Orange. Coice de Mula's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dida Martins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin ran back to his position shaking his head. Brazil's Dida Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Brazil from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurinho Mendonça in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gianluigi Orange saved Coice de Mula from getting behind. Celsinho Perez made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Morales Moreira. After some careless play in the Coice de Mula defense, Maurinho Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gianluigi Orange. The Coice de Mula fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gianluigi Orange should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Coice de Mula's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa de Almeida came free, but Gianluigi Orange reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coice de Mula's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Brazil were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Norbert Kosowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Coice de Mula was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Kosowski to maneuver through the defense. Brazil made a substitution. Clayton Gol replaced Morales Moreira. After 65 played minutes Coice de Mula got a freekick which was hit by Norbert Kosowski. In the 66th minute Clayton Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Orange saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Saulão Chettle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gianluigi Orange was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Dida Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Anıl Nusrettin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franz Beckenbauer hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Brazil's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
