The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ForestWolves booed when FC Melon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukáš Farkaš didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, ForestWolves's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Ďurica came free, but Tadeusz Niedbalski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the ForestWolves defense, Ondrej Popluhár kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeusz Niedbalski. The ForestWolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeusz Niedbalski should have stopped the shot. Ksawery Poniewaz hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ksawery Poniewaz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tadeusz Niedbalski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ondrej Popluhár in the 19th minute. Ksawery Poniewaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dušan Hríb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, ForestWolves's Ksawery Poniewaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Hríb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peter Ďurica scored 2-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeusz Niedbalski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jerzy Parajewski came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the ForestWolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Parajewski couldn't finish the play. Peter Ďurica scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeusz Niedbalski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ondrej Popluhár scored 4-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeusz Niedbalski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ondrej Popluhár stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ForestWolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Ďurica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Tadeusz Niedbalski came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Melon's Ondrej Popluhár. But to his dismay, Ondrej Popluhár quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in ForestWolves's zone, Michal Kováč stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeusz Niedbalski came out of the goal and Michal Kováč tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ForestWolves's attentive Tobiasz Swoboda managed to snatch the ball when Viktor Kavalec made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. Dušan Hríb came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by ForestWolves's Ksawery Poniewaz. But to his dismay, Ksawery Poniewaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Zachariasz Treppa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dušan Hríb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Melon's Dušan Hríb got control of the ball when Jerzy Parajewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Pisarczyk in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Melon's goalkeeper Dušan Hríb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Ondrej Popluhár cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Tadeusz Niedbalski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ivan Ileš kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Fabian Pisarczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Dušan Hríb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Melon's Dušan Hríb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Pisarczyk in the 96th minute of play. ForestWolves's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
